Wasteland part II

Driving through the desert only with the help of a compass and a map can be lonely, fortunately for me my band mates came to the adventure as well! Ronny and Lars have been amazing, like always. First, Lars helped me to carry stuff, because my car is pretty small and my drums set is big, so he helped me with my violin! After all, he is driving an ice cream truck xD

Then Ronny... he has been my guide and close friend for so many years ago. Ronny guided me once more through the graveyard. I returned from death some years ago but the shock of reading your own tombstone will always be very difficult to overcome.

Then, the night I was waiting for finally arrived, we walked into the Thunderdome, Lars gave me back my violin as we all headed to play a show in front of the most strange people I've seen in a while, sounds like a dream! The clock pointed it was 10 pm, the "fans" were chanting for us, we looked into the eye and nodded. This is it guys, we are jumping in the stage NOW!

But something wasn't quite alright... where were our strippers? our illegal substances..? There wasn't even a towel or a bottle of water for us..! That sucked. Visibly annoyed we went up and started playing our repertoire. Soon I forgot about the beverages and gave my all to our public! Every song sounded better than the previous one, it was really a dream! I was so happy at the end of it when I hugged Lars and Ronny that I only knew we didn't achieve the ultimate goal. The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla will keep being a lifetime goal for us, for now.

At the end of all, the Thunderdome experience was divine, I loved every part of it and I will return, I´m sure of it. Wasteland, you didn't have seen all of me yet.

Start your engineessss... GO!

I started this year in a different way, sorta. The first days were normal, playing in the same cities with my band mates after a nice rest in Melbourne. Then we came to Rio but I was sleeping to enjoy as one should do, because I was preparing for the next to come: To go on adventures!

Flipping a rusty bottle cap was the ticket to jump into space and time (so damn slow) until I found myself by the side of a small car in the middle of nowhere.

- Oh well this is where it starts! * I circled around the car checking it* I hope you carry me through all the way!

I jumped behind the wheel to find the car keys in place, after I set my mirrors and felt ready, my hand twisted the key and the car engine started roaring, what a relief! It works and I feel this car is strong!

Now I'm driving through an endless desert with my hopes high like a kite in the wind! This is the right way to start a year!

GO WASTELAND!

Moonlight woods
